We were only hours away from leaving Mar del Plata. By 5 p.m., we would be back in Cordoba City, and that was a reality that I did not relish AT ALL!
The only thing I could do was distract myself by taking some final photos and filming a few videos of the beautiful scenery.
Once we got to the Mar del Plata Airport, we kept hoping that they wouldn't have an issue with the bottle of SKYY Vodka we snuck in our luggage.
We also declared a nail clipper we bought in Mar del Plata, which I was convinced they were going to confiscate. It turns out that security at the airport could have cared less and told us it was ok to take the nail clipper with us.
No one in our remaining group talked much while we waited for our plane to arrive. Oh, and in case, you were wondering, the 4th member of our group stayed behind because she was taking a different flight to Bolivar--a remote city in Buenos Aires province. You can read more about Bolivar here.
I can't speak for our friend, but the hubs and I were feeling melancholy about heading back to Cordoba City. We had spent five days in paradise. Alright, technically 4 because day 5 was all about leaving. Regardless, we weren't ready to go back to our lives in Cordoba City.
Anyway, we finally boarded the plane and off we went.
By the time we landed at the Cordoba Airport, we felt that we weren't ready to say goodbye to our friend. So, we decided to have one last meal together at the airport's restaurant.
Now, it was time to face the reality of our lives back (home?) HA! What a joke!
